"PLEASE LISTEN, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!While my vehicle is in the shop, I needed a drive from a meeting in Buckhead to a Sandy springs errand then home; I was quoted by the dispatcher $30 for the entire trip plus the short-wait as soon as we arrived at my errand destination, after the driver was driving erractic, swerving and missing multiple expressway-exits; the male driver got out and demanded the $30; while counting my money I noticed the driver forcefully held the sliding van door open and stood looking over me and snatched my crutch and held it until I handed him over $28; I told the driver that I would give him $2 more when I came out of the building because I needed change for $100 bill and when I came out of the building 2 minutes later the driver had already left me stranded and I had to eventually walk with a crutch up and down the street in an unfamiliar area to find a city bus terminal so, that I could get home. When I called dispatch to inform them of what there driver had done; my call was never returned and once I finally got the dispatch on the line; dispatch believes whatever lies the driver stated to him and dismissed what I had honestly stated and dispatch hung-up on My call. Article 1 - Theft. § 16-8-5. Theft of Services."

"If you don not use this service for your Atlanta transportation needs you are missing out!! Hands down awesome service. I used them for my family and I to get from airport and back and forth to downtown for a cheer competition all weekend. We had Alex and Abdul as our drivers. Very friendly. Very clean new suburbans. Always prompt. This was a Great experience for us. We will most definitely use Alex and his crew again and you should do the same!! 5 star service at its best!!"

"At the ATL airport, we decided to take a cab instead of Uber/Lyft since there was no line to use a cab and we were exhausted after long flight. A huge mistake. I had bad experiences with this company's drivers but today was the worst. As soon as we told the driver that we live about 5 miles from the airport, he said he doesn't like short distance trips. 🙄 (red flag #1) so we told him that we are going to go with another driver. He said "no no, that's ok" then he told us to navigate him to get to our house (red flag #2) which we did. When he got to our house, he didn't stop the meter (red flag #3) then he told us that the charge is $23 when the meter was showing $16.6!! We were going to tip him anyway but I asked him why it is $23 when it was showing 17.3 (yes, the price kept going up because he didn't stop the meter). He started raising his voice and screamed at me. I was just asking the explanation how the amount became 23. He said "additional passenger fee" Huh??? It was mentioned in the cab that it is $2. So it should be $18.6 since the destination was zone 1, which is meterd rate zone. He even said "that's why I didn't want to come to this area" how rude is that?? I called this cab company to ask what the charge was for, but the guy answered the phone(also rude) told me to hold on then just hung up on me. If you are traveling from the airport, just use Uber or Lyft. You may need to wait a bit but you will not have bad attitude drivers with zero geographical knowledge nor unknown charges like those cab drivers always do. Stay away."

"I definitely am sending them a 5 star review all the way from NC! They transported 4 of my female elderly family members from the airport late on a Friday night (last night) to a location an hour away. They got them there safely with no reckless driving as the other reviews say. They charged them correctly with no issues with the meter as the other reviews warn about. They treated them respectfully with no bad treatment as the other reviews alleged. I definitely appreciate that and wanted to give them the credit and accolades they are due. Thank you for your service❤️"

"As you can see, I am giving Atlanta Checker Cab 1 Star! I gave the 1 star so, I could post it. They didn't do anything for that 1 star! I am highly disappointed with the services this company offers. My cousin and I were from out of town. We found out about Atlanta Checker Cab through our hotel (Hyatt House Downtown Atlanta). 7/27/24 We took a chance and gave them a call. We called the cab company at 4:20pm. The young lady said she will have some one at our hotel to pick us up at 6:30. Our event is 10mins away. Event starts at 7:00pm. We gave the Atlanta Checker Cab until 6:38pm. We placed a call to the Atlanta Checker Cab Co. She then tells us she doesn't have a driver. The driver she has will need to shower then get dressed then pick us up. She will see what she can do. She calls us back at 6:55pm. I am sorry I can not find a driver. I would not recommend Atlanta Checker Cab Co. to anyone! I would never think about using them again. This is poor customer service and poor communication. She could have stated she didn't have any drivers when we made the original call. Anyone going or in the downtown Atlanta area. Really should think twice before using Atlanta Checker Cab Co. You may or may not make it to your destination! Wasting people's time! Giving customers False information!"

"Called at 3pm to reserve a cab for 6pm pickup for a short hop to Truist park. I called at 6:15pm and was told they were trying to locate a driver in the area. Made last minute arrangements to get to the park. I wish I could give them less than one star. Just a few drivers could make some decent money on game days. So sad."

"I was over charged by the drivers many times even in a short distance and the drivers are at times rude like the male that answered the company’s phone. I was told by him that over charged for a dollar or two is nothing. It’s ridiculous. I was one time charged $20 for a 6 minute ride instead of $8. This is a day time robbery. That is why the drivers dare to over charge and rude to customers as someone in the office has their back. I requested a ride but this male did not send any driver to pick me up. I will not call for rides with this OK taxi ever. I have been using this company for many years and not just overnight. Many companies out there so don’t think you are the only taxi company around."

"I work at a well-known dining establishment in Inman Park. I reached out this company to order a car for my guests who were nearing the completion their meal. Although I provided a timeline of when the guests would be available, I recieved push back from the beginning. Unfortunately I missed this red flag! Upon completion of their meal, the company continued to extend the arrival time with unknown ETA's. My elderly guests became restless and had to seek another form of transportation after 45 minutes additional of a 15 minutes. I apologized to the couple repeatedly. Once I had a moment to speak with the driver during peak dinner hours, I let him know that the couple found another way to their destination. The driver then yelled into the phone, "you should have called me back and told me!" then hung up the phone on me. I highly do not recommend this company due to lack of customer service, unrealistic times and lack of empathy to assist an elderly couple in a timely manner."
