"I am making this post for my disabled and totally blind husband Only because he is unable to do it on his own. Both of us have used Carolina Taxi for a while now and we have always been satisfied with the service until last night when my husband had to call them for a ride home. He has used their service on many occasions and he has never had any issues with setting up a ride. Most of the time he would use them for a ride home on the weekends whenever he would go to a local venue and listen to the bands. He normally uses public transportation to take him to the place so he just needed a way home. My husband is blind and handicapped so it can be very difficult for him to get around. He has enjoyed seeing the bands at the venues for many years now and he mainly goes for the music not the alcohol. He is a very light drinker and he rarely has an alcoholic beverage. I have been married to him for 30 years and I have never seen him drunk! I am saying that to make a point that he only visits the venues for the music, food, and socializing but last night when he called me, he wasn't able to get a ride home from the taxi company so I called them about it. It was almost 2 O'clock in the morning and I was very concerned about him not being able to get a ride home. I had already taken my meds that I have to take to help me sleep so I wasn't able to pick him up. I was in shock and awe when they falsely accused him of being a belligerent drunk! The very rude lady on the phone told me that they couldn't give him any more rides because he was a belligerent drunk every time they took him home and that was a complete lie! He has always been very courteous and friendly to anyone who has ever given him a ride anywhere including the bus that he takes to work. Nobody has ever accused him of such nonsense and I asked them if they had the correct address for him. The rude lady on the phone kept saying that it was the correct address for him and they couldn't pick him up anymore but she refused to tell me the name of the person that made that decision or who I needed to talk to about it. What an awful way to treat a dedicated customer since a long time ago and treat him with such disrespect. It's bad enough that he is totally blind and handicapped so he has to use a mobility cane but to have to deal with such terrible accusations from what used to be a reputable company! It's easier for me to pick up the phone and call someone for a ride than to use Uber or Lyft and he would have a very difficult time with it. I sincerely hope that they are not discriminating against my husband and making up a bunch of lies just to cover it up because there will be hell to pay for them! What a sorry excuse for a business! No customer service skills whatsoever and absolutely no compassion for people! I would stay far away from these people!"

"Called them for a pickup they told me it would take 30 minutes for a driver. That’s fine but I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes and quests what no taxi!! Tried calling the office for an hour and it just kept going to voicemail which voicemail was full. When I finally did get through to dispatch I told them they might as well cancel the ride because I am missed my appointment again because this is not the first time this is happened. Dispatch told me when I asked her for the owners name she said “not today“ then I asked her for her name and she hung up on me. I wish there was another taxi service in my area because I can not drive due to a work injury and not able to work. I have to rely on these kinds of services"

"0 stars. I ordered a taxi and it arrived an hour late, causing me to nearly miss my flight. The driver parked far away from me, not offering to help make it easy for my bags. The driver was erratic, slamming on her brakes and veering off the road, almost crashing multiple times. She even went 10 mph in a 45 mph zone. She complained about having to drive. I'm not sure what was wrong with her. She asked me for directions to the airport and for me to pull up my GPS. When we arrived, she said she needed my hot spot on my phone so I could pay. Very weird. Would never recommend. And very expensive. The car was disgusting too."

"Requested the taxi for 7:00 a.m. the night before. Confirmed by the computer. By 7:15, no taxi. Called the automated dispatcher and was connected to a real person. She put in the request and fortunately the cab arrived 20 minutes later. It had never been dispatched. 'Bad first impression. 'Could have caused me to miss my flight. 'Probably will not call them again. 2.5 stars"

"Scheduled a pick 4 of us up at 4:30 this morning to go 3 miles to the airport. Driver (car #471) asked if we were gonna pay credit or cash. We told him we could do either way. He said cash was fine, then turned off the meter and charged us $100!! Unfortunately, we were at his mercy cuz we had to make our flight. This is why so many people use other companies like Uber!"

"We used Beaches Taxi for for our last couple of trips to Ocean Isle to and from the Myrtle Beach Airport. Both experiences were great! We had some confusion with cancellations on our last trip and they were very flexible and accommodating. Mike is a great driver and a pleasure to ride with. Robbie is very responsive.
