The second time I yelled at the guy to fix his meter and told him i was getting out if he didn't change it to be correct. After him arguing with me for 3 mins he finally changed it. I have reported the drivers to PHA and got a refund."

"I took a cab (Philly taxi P1429 license plate: TX 46698) from the airport to UPenn campus (the correct fare should be around 30-35 dollars). After giving my address, which is approximately UPenn campus, the driver said that the fare should be 60 dollars and then after a few minutes of driving the cab driver instead that I pay the full amount immediately. I refused to pay and told him that I'll pay when we get to the destination. I also asked him how he came up with the amount of 60 dollars and after some altercation he said that I need to get off the car(and this was in the middle of the highway) I had no other option but to call the police who showed up and I had to take an Uber."

"The lady that answered the phone had a hard time understanding what I was trying to say and the drivers don't speak English and I had a hard time telling them where I wanted to be pick up at and they tried to charge me more money then what I was paying instead of 10 .00 they tryed charging me 16.00 and I waited for an half hour to be picked up"

"I work at a children's hospital where we encounter people of different languages and today I was most appreciative towards the person who took my call for a parent who spoke Portuguese. The gentleman on the phone was patient and the cab showed up fast and right out front."

"On Thurs., Sept. 19, 2024, afriend needed me in a hurry so I decided to use 5 Star Cab Co., as another friend vouched for their reliability and pricing. First of all, I cannot believe that bucket of bolts and metal they sent to pick me up actually passed State Inspection. The windshield is cracked, which alone, should take it off the road. Secondly, the vehicle was emitting a noxious odor. Third, it was so dirty, inside and out, that my hands were covered in black soot after I squeezed into the backseat (due to the vehicle's age, it has a full front stationery seat limiting leg room in back). Finally, the back seat interior is irreparably damaged. When I suggested to the driver he get a new car his reply was "tell that to my boss". Hey, Boss: scrap that old hazardous piece of junk!! It's an insult to ask your customers to ride in that thing."
