They emailed/texted back and forth with me to go over pricing and schedule and even accommodated a 15 schedule change from my original pickup time. Matt arrived early and provided a safe and professional ride to the airport. I highly recommend and would use again."

"So I just used this service to take me from Newport to TF Green Airport. Communication between me and the company was excellent. Ronald showed up early and immediately texted me when he got to the location. I felt safe with him and he was kind and courteous. I definitely can vouch for this company that while it might not be the cheapest way to get to your location, it is more reliable and safer than many other ways."

"I reached out to the owner of this company as I needed to get my daughter to the airport while at college. I was very concerned about safety, and he assured me he would get her there safely. He sent a driver that was the perfect fit, and she got to and from the airport successfully! He followed up consistently on the ride to and from the airport. "This is a two star review because technically I got to where I needed to go and Ramon A Perez was a safe driver. I was picked up from TF Green (solo travelling) and only informed that his credit card machine was out of order AFTER we had gotten on the highway. He told me he could either take me to an ATM or go to Staples and I could wait for his machine to be fixed. He dropped me off downtown at the BankRI building to grab cash. It felt like a shakedown. I'm disgusted. I then called this number after I arrived home, asked for a manager (I guess Ramon owns this company) and he hung up on me. Avoid license plate #IND168 at all costs. EDIT: Hello "owner", I've updated my review to two stars, because yes, I did technically get ok service. The driver who drove me should have his own credentials posted when driving the car. I will edit this review again if I find out who drove me (I'll only use his first name). The man who drove me took advantage of a solo female rider because he didn't want to lose a fare. He should have informed me that he was only able to take cash BEFORE trapping me in the taxi. The problem was not the broken machine, it was telling me about it once I had no choice but to use the taxi service. The way I was treated was unprofessional and felt incredibly threatening. I will not apologize for writing an honest review."

"Do not under any circumstances get this taxi company. They do not go on base and they are extremely unethical. I called this company as myself and others were at the Providence Airport and needed to go to Naval Station Newport. When ordering the ride, I asked if he could get on base, he said yes. Before the bags were placed in the car, I asked again if he had access to the base! He said yes! After a 100 dollar car ride, we arrived at the base and we were quickly informed by the guards that he didn’t have access. He decried that the last time he was on base, he allowed on. He, the driver named Raymond, lied. He just wanted the fair! Myself and two other women who are here for training had to get out at the gate and walk to our destination. There were 10 cars backed up behind us and we were extremely embarrassed. He also charged us excessively As reimbursement for him to go over the toll bridge. During the ride, a call came in and a rider requested a ride. The driver, Raymond, said that he’d be there in 10 minutes. This was impossible as he was driving us to Newport which is at least 40 minutes. Take your money and time elsewhere!! Also, the amount that you see when driving is joy hr actual amount. On the meter, it showed 90.06 but after “taxes”, it came out to 106 and some change!"

"Buyer beware: Slim Taxi is an unreliable taxi service and should be avoided at all costs. I scheduled a cab a few days in advance for Christmas Day from Coventry to Amtrak West Kingston. I confirmed it by phone two hours before the pickup no problem. Then, the taxi never arrived and Slim Taxi did not pickup repeated phone calls to check on the status - a Christmas nightmare. We were lucky to find an Uber (at half the cost) and barely made our train."

"Don't listen to the other past negative reviews. Today Slim Taxi was a Godsend in a major emergency. The dispatch was flawless and the transport was swift. This is the taxi service to call. They were available at 5:30 am with a confirmation call. Highly recommended"

"WORST SERVICE EVER WOULD GIVE -10 STARS IF I COULD. Kept calling to schedule my ride back home and they said they were coming yet they did not cause I waited 3 hours for them and nothing!! Then when i kept calling to ask where they were they decided to ignore all my calls and I know b/c they picked up when I called from another number. I had to end up walking home in this cold weather b/c they didnt wanna do their job. Wouldn't even recommend this service to my worst enemy!"

"We booked a cab for the airport with this company and they never showed up! Called the number listed and got voice mail that just said "leave a message...". No dispatcher. Not professional. We missed our flight. Will never call them again."

"No clue why this biz has a low rating. Had a flight at 7 am and spent a full hour trying to get an Uber with no luck. Called EVERY car service in Newport and not only was Orange Cab the only group to actually answer their phone, but they picked me up and got me to the airport super quick. Kevin, my driver, was super friendly and helped calm me down as I freaked out about almost missing my flight. Thanks to Kevin, I got to the airport with time to spare. 10/10 would recommend these guys!"

"Posting a review to give this company a higher rating so no one gets stuck like us. We scheduled a Lyft for 4:45 am in Newport to get to the airport on time and it never showed up. We were frantically looking for another option so we didn’t miss our flight and ended up calling the Orange Cab. The driver got there in less than five minutes and really saved us! Lesson learned, Uber and Lyft is fine if you don’t NEED to be somewhere, but I would 100% recommend getting a cab to take you to the airport. The van was comfortable and clean, plus the driver was SO friendly and made our hectic morning a little better!"
