On the first ride, the driver complained about the amount we tipped (which was generous), despite them pulling over to take a personal call halfway through the ride. We decided to increase the tip anyways. They didn’t even show up for the second ride. Disappointing service from a local cab company"

"Wheeler Taxis saved my life when I couldn’t get an Uber to the airport! I called 1 hour before I needed a ride and he was there in 12 minutes. Mr. Wheeler was incredible kind and helpful. The ride with very clean, safe, and flexible. I wanted to stop to get something and he drove 3 different places for me to find what I needed. I can’t say enough great things about this service! "Got this taxi service from bangor to bar harbor. Full disclaimer: this gets a little political, and not in the way you think. It's 11pm, my ride pulls up around then. Old dude, smoking a cigarette. I don't care what drugs people choose to engage in off the clock but tobacco isn't my favorite by miles. I make small talk, he mentions the weather (it had been a rainy summer). He tells me it didn't used to be that way. The he goes on to tell me it's not CO2 emissions like the government wants you to believe- it's actually China spewing aluminum into the atmosphere to force it to rain. I sit in silence for about 20 minutes as he talks at me about this. I finally tell him, hey, it's midnight, I work tomorrow, please shut up. To his credit, he shuts up, then cranks up the radio. I don't know what channel this is but it's clearly recorded in some dude's basement- the speaker announces that scientists and doctors are hypnotizing us and using the placebo effect to trick us into thinking the Earth is getting warmer, hypnotizing people into getting heatstroke. Covid? Also placebo effect. There's an offhanded comment about how all the doctors and scientists wear transgender and ukranian flag pins (?). Like the guy is playing "offend x group" bingo or something. This goes on for the rest of the trip. Total ride was over a hundred bucks. Next time, I'll just get a hotel and take the $9 bus in the morning. Overall, wouldn't recommend this service unless you're doing research for a thinkpiece about how America's lonely elderly people get brainwashed."

"I wish 0 stars were possible. Anyway, this is a trash company as another commenter posted. I had an important dental appointment that could not be missed. I called several times in the week before the appointment and was repeatedly told calling 30 mins before the appointment would be fine but to be on the safe side call 1 hr before the appointment but to be even more sure, 1 1/2 hours before the appointment. I called on the day of the appointment at 12:30 for a 2 pm appointment. I was assured I would certainly get there in time. 30 minutes before the appointment I called and was told the driver was just about there. I called 30 minutes later at 2 pm, and told them the appointment was missed and I demanded an immediate refund which I was told was to be put through immediately and I was told not to call again. A couple of days later I called and told him my credit card company said no refund has been issued and they insisted they put it through, to file a credit card dispute which I did. I just called my credit card company, a few weeks later and was told they have issued the credit card final refund to me although they are still "working with" this taxi service as they STILL have NOT issued the refund."

"This "cab company" is an absolute joke. You're lucky if they even answer the phone; some days it goes right to voicemail and they're just not available. And if you do get an answer, you're gonna be waiting upwards of 2-3 hours before the cab even arrives to your destination. The vans are all dilapidated and gross, the drivers are weird and they get mad at YOU for them being late, and sometimes it seems like they just bail on people if they get a call for a ride that's further out that will make them more money. They don't call or communicate in any way, they just abandon you. Very trashy and unprofessional company. You're probably better off walking, or giving Lloyd's Taxi a call. He's a one-man crew and he's far more reliable than Kennebec Taxi. Sometimes Lloyd isn't available, but he at least has the courtesy to tell you that and he doesn't leave you waiting forever."

"Ordered taxi in portland, they said 30min delay - sure no problem. Driver called me after 45 min, confused, did not speak english well. After 65 min, still no taxi. Ordering an uber. won't use them again."
